Dr. Chris Cole, DVM

Hello, my name is Chris and I am the owner veterinarian at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. I grew up in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1993. I practiced in Kingman, AZ for 5 years where I met and married my wife, Holly. After that I practiced in Reno, NV for 4 years before moving back to the midwest in 2002. My wife and I bought Hillcrest Animal Hospital in 2003 to remain in the area to be close to our families. Holly opened and continues to run The Learning Circle Preschool in Hudson and also owns Holly's Wee Piggies. We spend a lot of our free time playing with our two young boys, Conner and Parker. As for our pets we currently have four dogs, Baxter, Bailey, Rosie and Maggie along with our two cats, Todd and Nala.

Dr. Ann Lystrup - Veterinarian

Hello, my name is Ann and I am a Veterinarian at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. I obtained my BS degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Following graduation, I worked in Sun Valley, Idaho doing mostly small animal medicine, but also doing some equine work. I returned to Wisconsin shortly thereafter to work at a small animal referral clinic in Green Bay. After four years in Green Bay, I returned to my home town of Eau Claire, WI to work at a small animal practice. In 2000, I started working at the Animal Emergency Clinic in the Twin Cities area. In 2008, after eight years in the emergency field, I decided I needed some more “normal” hours and put aside the night, weekend and holiday hours to start working at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. Outside of the veterinary field, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my husband Brian and our two young daughters, Gabby and Taylor. The family is rounded out by our dogs Razzmatazz and Sophia, and our two cats, Bug and Beetle. I also enjoy skiing, scuba diving, many other sports, rooting on the Packers and Badgers and pretty much anything outdoors.

Cari - Receptionist

Hi my name is Cari and I am the Receptionist at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. I live in Roberts with my husband and three lovely daughters. We have a Boston Terrier named Tucker and a French Bulldog named Bruno.

Amanda - Certified Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Amanda and I have worked at Hillcrest since April 1999. In 2001 I received an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University. Since then I have enjoyed my work as a certified vet tech. I currently reside in Lake Elmo, MN with my husband William, dog Daisy and two cats Ricochet and Java.

Sue - Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Sue and I have been working at Hillcrest since 1995 as a veterinary technician. I currently live in Spring Valley, WI with my 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 birds. I have always enjoyed working with animals. For me it’s a very fun and rewarding job.

Katie - Certified Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Katie and I have worked at Hillcrest since June 2007. I received my Bachelors degree in Conservation Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and more recently my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Globe College. I currently live in Hudson with my dog Two-Step.

Alicia - Veterinary Technician

Hello, my name is Alicia and I have been working at Hillcrest since August 2008. I graduated from Argosy University with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. I currently live in Hudson, WI.

Hi, my name is Jamie and I am the weekend/holiday kennel manager at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. I am currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota in the pre-vet progam. I live in Hudson with my family and our two dogs, Jet and Sadie.
