Emergency Care

There is never a good time for an emergency! We do provide a doctor to consult with after hours and can take care of some minor emergencies as well. For major emergencies, we refer our patients to the Animal Emergency Clinic in Oakdale, MN. They have a qualified emergency veterinarian and trained staff on duty during the evening hours and weekends allowing them to be prepared for major surgical or medical emergencies when we are closed.

Laser Surgical Services

Our doctors are trained in state-of-the-art surgical techniques should your pet require a surgery. Our CO2 Laser will be used for almost all of the surgeries. The benefits of laser surgery include less pain, less bleeding, and less swelling which make the recovery much easier and less painful for your pets. Additonal pain medications may be sent home with your pet as well if it is necessary.

Preventive Medicine

Keeping your pets healthy is the goal of the entire staff. We recommend a complete physical exam at least once a year, and sometimes every 4 to 6 months as your pets get older. Our pets age much more rapidly than we do and some significant changes can occur in just a few months! Our Preventive Health recommendations for your pet will be made on the findings from our physical exam and individualized based on the needs, environment, and life-style of you and your pets. Some of our preventive recommendations may include diet changes, dental care, vaccinations, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, heartworm prevention, or flea and tick control.

AVID Microchips

Have you ever lost a pet? It is a scary thought. A microchip can be inserted under the skin of your pet and can help reunite them with their lost family. These chips are relatively small and can be implanted during any routine exam or surgery. The microchips contain a 9 digit sequence, similar to a social security number, with identifies the pet. Most animal shelters and veterinary clinics in the country have scanners that can read the microchips and use that number to help locate the lost family.
